NewsRack
Summary
NewsRack is a full-featured RSS reader for iPhone and iPad with a truly unique interface. Using NewsRack, mobile users can skim over the latest headlines on a beautiful rack of newspapers or use the powerful classic interface to read and organize feeds. The feeds and articles in NewsRack can be synchronized with Google Reader, including categories and even your custom sort order.
Challenge
Due to a trademark complaint that was forwarded by Apple, omz:software had to change the old name of their killer app - Newsstand’s on short notice. With a little help from their users, omz:software rapidly chose NewsRack as its replacement. While Newsstand was a popular app, NewsRack was fresh and new. Naturally, the new app experienced drop in downloads.
